What is Kaal Sarp Dosh?
When all seven planets in a birth chart fall on one side of the Rahu–Ketu axis, the shastras call it Kaal Sarp Yoga. Rahu and Ketu always sit 180 degrees apart, dividing the chart in two. If even one planet lies outside that half, the yoga is not considered to form.The twelve named types — Anant, Kulik, Vasuki, Shankhpal, Padma, Mahapadma, Takshak, Karkotak, Shankhchud, Ghatak, Vishdhar and Sheshnag — are decided by which houses Rahu and Ketu occupy, and the shanti vidhi differs with the type.

मांगलिक दोष क्या है और इसकी पूजा कहाँ होती है?
कुंडली के पहले, चौथे, सातवें, आठवें या बारहवें भाव में मंगल की स्थिति को मांगलिक दोष कहा जाता है। उज्जैन का मंगलनाथ मंदिर मंगल की जन्मस्थली माना जाता है, इसीलिए यहाँ भात पूजा और मंगल शांति के अनुष्ठान की लंबी परंपरा रही है।भात पूजा मंगलवार और मंगल की होरा में की जाती है। विवाह से पहले अर्क विवाह या कुंभ विवाह की विधि भी शास्त्रों में बताई गई है, और कौन सी उपयुक्त है यह कुंडली देखकर तय होता है।
Where exactly is the puja performed?
In Ujjain, at the Shipra ghat and the puja sthal. In Gaya, pind daan and tarpan are performed at the Falgu ghat. In Trimbakeshwar, at the river ghat and puja sthal. Ujjain is the city of Mahakal, and that is how the city is known — we do not book darshan or aarti of any temple.If you are travelling, tell us on the call and the pandit ji will say what time to reach the ghat and what to carry; if you are not, the sankalp carries your name and gotra instead.
पितृ दोष की शांति के लिए क्या किया जाता है?
शास्त्रों में पूर्वजों के अधूरे कर्म या अशांति को पितृ दोष कहा गया है। इसकी शांति के लिए तर्पण, पिंड दान और श्राद्ध कर्म की विधि बताई गई है। उज्जैन में यह शिप्रा तट और सिद्धवट क्षेत्र में, और गया जी में फल्गु तट पर की जाती है।पितृ पक्ष में और पूर्वज की तिथि पर यह कर्म विशेष रूप से किया जाता है। गोत्र, नाम और तिथि — तीनों संकल्प के समय चाहिए होते हैं, इसलिए कॉल पर यही पूछा जाता है।
Can the puja be done if I cannot travel to Ujjain?
Yes. The sankalp is made in your name and gotra, and the pandit ji performs the vidhi at the puja sthal on the chosen tithi. Families living elsewhere in India, and NRI families abroad, book this way regularly. You are told what was performed and when, on the same number you called.Families in the Gulf, the UK, the US and Australia book this way through the year, usually choosing the tithi rather than the weekday, since the muhurat is what the vidhi follows.
What does the dakshina depend on?
On the vidhi the kundli calls for — how many pandits sit, how many mantra jaap are sankalped, and how long the anushthan runs. A single-pandit vidhi and an eleven-pandit vidhi are not the same work. Every service page lists what each package includes, and the figure is confirmed on the call. Across the pujas the packages run from ₹2,400 for a single-pandit vidhi to ₹51,000 for the largest Mahamrityunjaya anushthan, in three tiers each. The samagri is listed separately so you know what is included and what you may want to arrange yourself. Nothing is added after the puja is done.

कालसर्प दोष क्यों बनता है?
राहु और केतु हर कुंडली में एक-दूसरे के ठीक सामने, 180 अंश पर रहते हैं और कुंडली को दो भागों में बाँट देते हैं। जब सूर्य, चंद्र, मंगल, बुध, गुरु, शुक्र और शनि — ये सातों ग्रह इनमें से एक ही ओर आ जाते हैं, तब शास्त्रों के अनुसार यह योग बनता है। इसीलिए इसे जन्म तिथि से नहीं, पूरी कुंडली से देखा जाता है।राहु-केतु की स्थिति हर व्यक्ति की कुंडली में अलग होती है, इसलिए एक ही परिवार के दो लोगों में यह योग हो भी सकता है और नहीं भी।

कालसर्प दोष निवारण पूजा, रुद्राभिषेक, नाग-नागिन के जोड़े का पूजन और महामृत्युंजय जाप — शास्त्रों में इस योग की शांति के लिए ये अनुष्ठान बताए गए हैं। इनमें से कौन सा उपयुक्त है, यह दोष के प्रकार और ग्रह स्थिति देखकर तय होता है, इसलिए पंडित जी पहले कुंडली देखते हैं।नागपंचमी, अमावस्या और पंचमी तिथि इसके लिए उपयुक्त मानी जाती है, और उज्जैन में नागचंद्रेश्वर मंदिर वर्ष में केवल नागपंचमी पर खुलता है — इसीलिए यहाँ इस अनुष्ठान की लंबी परंपरा रही है।
Which tithi is chosen for the puja?
For Kaal Sarp Dosh, Nag Panchami, Amavasya and Panchami are traditionally considered suitable. Mangal Dosh anushthan is usually held on a Tuesday, in the Mangal hora. Pitra karm is performed in the Pitru Paksha and on the tithi of the ancestor. The pandit ji picks the date with your kundli and the panchang together.If a date matters to you — a birthday, a shraadh tithi, a family gathering — say so on the call and the pandit ji will tell you whether the panchang allows it.
